goodyear idler pulley remedys noiseMy cars engine was making squeeling noises upon acceleration, so i suspected that the pulley bearing might be bad. Searched for the best deal, and noticed Goodyear brand! ive bought Goodyear tires, belts, and hoses in the past and i am convinced that they make a quality product. Amazon.com had the best price and coupled with a purchase of another item ,the shipping cost was free. I received it in only a few days.Installed the pulley in less than five minutes, finished done.

tut 1 pulley shaft part2
well, here it is
All togetherish. the hobbit clutch on the shaft like this is rad because it takes the weight off the crank, and because it will be spinning much slower than stock hobbit crank, the stock springs will work like performance springs.. in fact, i’ll probably have to get lighter than stock springs. not a big deal at all, as most performance springs are designed for a clutch pulley style application.
this is the jackshaft carer shell tony lathed for me. he did an awesome job. there are two bearing landings inside for the bearings, the small bearing is pressed in first and has a little wall to butt up against so that it won’t ever work it’s way out, then the jack shaft itself is pressed into that bearing, then a spacer goes over that for the second bearing to ride against, then the last bearing is pressed it. that bearing is kept in place with a snap ring.
here’s it is with the junk on it. i need to get a nut for the derbi side.
i’ve already got the whole thing welded into the subframe and the subframe is pretty much done except the pivot point for the frame and other little things, like trimming extra metal and figuring out shock mounts and the like.
i’ll leave you with a picture of the subframe mostly done (welded in some cross bracing not shown here) and all the stuff bolted on so that you can kind of get an idea of how it’s gunna look.
