Happy Cleaning Week!

I will be happy if the sun comes out again. I'm having solar withdrawals. It's not that I mind the rain, but it's the DARK that's getting to me. There are not enough lights to turn on. I am so looking forward to the next batch of weather. Honour just called- the river by her apartment is 6 feet higher this evening than last evening. But although they told the residence to prepare bug-out bags, it would take three times the volume of water for the water to reach the building because the slope is gradual. And while the rain that has been falling will take a few days to drain into the lower areas, I think and hope it's almost over. I understand the sun is out down in Virginia and over in Buffalo. At least we have flowers- if I had the guts to go outside and look at them. We have snowdrops and crocus, and pansies, and the daffodils are sending up tall shoots and I'm so looking forward to spring! Down at Ecumenicon (probably three agricultural zones further south) the cherry trees were in bloom. I think they were cherry trees, they were pink. And there were huge swathes of some white flowering trees along the highway. And there was occasional sun- and I SO enjoyed it. On the way back we got out by noon, and because we stopped for dinner (at the Blue Colony Diner (and I got a little lost on the way out and headed toward DC rather than around it) we didn't get home until after 1. Sigh. Not surprisingly, we've been dragging through getting cleaned up after Ecu, and getting ready for Anime Con which the girls are leaving for tomorrow- THIS Thursday morning. But I should first tell you about Ecumenicon, or all you'll know is that there were cherry blossoms. I am pleased that the weather was good- I started one of my classes outside even, although the kids got chilled and we came inside to finish the class (a lot of the kids classes were scheduled on the patio).
