6 Nations Final Round – Team of the Week and England Player Rating
A little late, but here is how the Final round of the 2010 Six Nations played out:
Scotland edged out Ireland in a thriller at the last ever Rugby game at Croke Park. It was Scotland’s first and only victory in this years 6 Nations. The score was 23-20 to Scotland.
Wales thumped Italy to give a timely reminder of their potent attack and hand them the Wooden Spoon. The score was 33-10 to Wales.
England surprisingly ran a nervy France very close, playing some good rugby to France’s more conservative game plan, the score was 12-10 to France, who won the Grand Slam – congratulations to them.
The 2010 RBS Six Nations Table:
1. France (10 pts – Grand Slam) So, while I correctly predicted 87.5% of the matches, I don’t recall ever getting a scoreline correct!
Thus ends my 2010 Six Nations Big Game sections, but below are the Team of the Week for Round 5 and the England Player Ratings v France, and look out for the 6 Nations Team of the Tournament coming soon…
Enjoy responsibly.

7. Sam Warburton (WALES) – Very powerful, a great link man and his impressive engine made him the standout 7 of the week.
8. Johnnie Beattie (SCOTLAND) – That power-try epitomised a very solid and decent performance.
9. Chris Cusiter (SCOTLAND) – this was hard to decide, but Cusiter...
